We're sisters who love reading! And now we've put our heads together to help each other plow through the over 200 books on our TBR list! We are taking it five books at a time. Let the reading begin!

Reading About Nature
My goldfish pond is not exactly the same as Tinker Creek, but maybe I'll get inspiration from it!
Dillard's book is not for reading like a narrative. It is a meditation and I'm going to include it in my morning quiet time. No telling when I will finish it. Each paragraph is profound and thought provoking...not to be skimmed.
Great plan!!! And now you can move on to the other books on your list. If it's ok with you -- I'm going to put a check mark by Pilgirm at Tinker Creek. It's no longer on your TBR list :-)
OK, I guess we're being flexible, right?? Besides Orphan Train is a must read/finish to prepare for our book club discussion on the 21st. I'm just barely into it, but already impressed, especially with the character development.
I think we have to be flexible. Otherwise this won't be FUN! I hope we stick to our lists as much as possible. But when we discover a book just isn't providing much pleasure -- I don't see any reason to slog through. It's just good to know why these books are hanging out on our shelves and not in our "favorite books" lists.
